Telangana CM to donate 29% of profits from Singareni mines to workers as a gift from Dussera

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday decided to donate 29 percent of the profit shares of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) as a gift from Dussera to workers at the public sector company. This is one percent more than last year.

In a review meeting, the Chief Minister asked SCCL President and CEO N. Sridhar to pay the share of the profits to the workers before Dussera. He reiterated that the government is determined to ensure the welfare of the workers of Singareni.

KCR said there is a need to expand Singareni’s business with the future of workers in mind. He said Singareni should expand its business beyond coal mining to mining for iron ore, sand and limestone.

“To make Singareni one of the country’s leading organizations in coal mining and power generation, the hard work and expertise of the workers is commendable. The Telangana government is committed to protecting the well- be Singareni workers and their future. The expertise of Singareni workers should not be limited only to coal mining, but should be used in sand, limestone and iron ore mining, “he said. he declared.

“Private companies use the services of employees and retired workers of Singareni and manage coal and other minerals. They make a profit. Why can’t we do the same?” He asked.

KCR said it was unfortunate that the Center was privatizing for-profit power supplies. “The Telangana State Government will work with the welfare of the Singareni workers in mind and the existence of the Singareni Company. The State Government will use the experience and expertise of the workers. The state government will take steps to provide work for workers to manage other mineral reserves in the state, ”he said.

The CM responded positively to Minister Koppula Eswar’s request that retired Singareni employees and workers receiving a pension of less than Rs 2000 per month from the Center be supported by the state government. He instructed relevant officials to prepare reports on how the state government can help Singareni employees and retired workers.
